This Refund Policy explains how CVForge reviews refund requests for Pro subscriptions, CV unlocks, add-ons such as cover letters, LinkedIn optimizer, and Premium Design Pack, duplicate charges, and technical failures.
This policy applies to digital services that may be delivered immediately after purchase.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
2. Digital services and immediate access
Some features are delivered instantly after purchase, for example CV unlocks, AI usage, AI credit top-ups, exports, premium design access, cover letter add-ons, LinkedIn profile optimizer access, or other add-ons.
By using these features, you acknowledge that the digital service may be considered delivered at the point of access or use.
By accessing or using paid digital features, you acknowledge that the service is provided immediately and that you may lose certain statutory cancellation rights once the digital service has been fully or partially performed.
Once digital content or functionality has been accessed or used, refunds may be limited or declined, except where required by law.
3. Pro subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Cancelling stops future renewals, does not automatically refund the current billing period, and access normally continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds may be considered where a duplicate charge occurred, there was a billing error, the service was unavailable due to a verified technical issue, or required by law.
We may consider goodwill refunds in exceptional circumstances.
Refunds may be declined where access was available and used or the request is based only on change of mind.
4. CV unlocks
A CV unlock is a one-time purchase tied to a specific CV.
It may enable Improve and Tailor credits for that CV, saved versions, exports, full analysis, and one included cover letter for that unlocked CV.
Because access may be delivered immediately, refunds are limited once the unlock has been used, where permitted by applicable law.
Use includes running AI features, consuming CV-scoped credits, saving versions, exporting files, viewing full analysis, using the included cover letter, or generating outputs.
Refunds may be considered where the unlock was not delivered, it was applied incorrectly due to a technical issue, a duplicate purchase occurred, or a verified product fault prevented use.
5. Add-ons
Add-ons include cover letter usage, LinkedIn profile optimizer, CV AI credit top-ups, Pro AI credit top-ups, and Premium Design Pack.
AI credit top-ups for an unlocked CV apply only to that CV. AI credit top-ups for Pro apply only to the current Pro period and are not transferable to unlocked CVs if Pro ends.
Cover letter add-on credits are separate from normal CV Improve and Tailor credits. Premium Design Pack access applies to the purchased design scope unless Pro or another product says otherwise.
Credits, unlocks, and entitlements have no cash value and are non-transferable unless stated otherwise.
Refunds may be limited once credits are used, outputs are generated, or features are accessed, where permitted by applicable law.
If an add-on was purchased accidentally and not used, contact support promptly for review.
6. Technical failures
If a paid feature fails due to product bugs, entitlement errors, payment sync issues, export failures, or provider outages, we may restore access or credits, re-run the feature, provide support, or consider a refund.
Some technical failures may result from third-party provider outages or external infrastructure issues outside our reasonable control.
Export appearance or formatting may vary depending on template choice, fonts, software compatibility, device, PDF viewers, and third-party document viewers or software.
We may request information such as account email, purchase date, payment reference, affected CV or job, and error details.
7. AI output quality
AI-generated content is subjective and may require editing.
AI features are intended as assistive drafting and analysis tools and are not guaranteed to produce preferred or successful results.
Results depend on the quality and completeness of the information you provide.
You are expected to review, edit, and verify AI-generated CVs, cover letters, LinkedIn content, scores, and recommendations before using them.
A refund is not automatically provided because you prefer different wording, disagree with a score, or choose not to use the output.
Refunds may be considered where the product failed to deliver the expected feature, outputs were unusable due to a verified technical fault, or credits were consumed incorrectly.
8. Usually non-refundable cases
Refunds may be declined where the service was delivered and used, outputs were generated or exported, incorrect or incomplete input was provided, results depend on third-party decisions such as recruiters or ATS, the service remained available but the workflow or purchased feature was not completed or used, or the account breached the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Refund abuse
We may refuse refunds where we reasonably believe there is abuse, including repeated refund requests after use, attempts to access features without paying, chargeback misuse, or duplicate or multi-account abuse.
Where a chargeback is initiated, we may suspend or restrict access while the dispute is reviewed.
10. How to request a refund

Refund requests should be made within a reasonable time after purchase.
Include your account email, purchase type, approximate date, payment reference if available, affected CV or job, and a short explanation.
Requests are reviewed manually and may require verification of payment records, entitlement usage, feature access history, and system logs.
11. Review and processing
We aim to review requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method where possible.
We may provide full, partial, or account-credit resolutions depending on the circumstances.
If a refund is approved, access, credits, or entitlements may be adjusted, and payment providers may take additional time to process refunds.
12. Alternative resolutions
In some cases, instead of a refund, we may restore credits, re-run a failed feature, correct entitlements, or provide support to resolve the issue.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions.
This allows issues to be resolved without unnecessary disruption to your account.
